Sport and Recreation

Waramanga District Playing Fields are located in Badimara Street. They are serviced by a large sealed car park. The ground has a pavilion with canteen, change rooms and toilets. The South Canberra Sport and Recreation Facilities depot is located beside the ground. Stromlo High School sits on the western side of the ground and Arawang Primary School on the eastern side.

There are eight football fields and six of those are floodlit to training standard. There is a synthetic cricket wicket with a 2-bay cricket practice net facility at the southern end of the ground.

The Waramanga Shopping centre is located just beyond the north-eastern corner of the ground.
